Nestled deep within Heritage Listed Rainforest, Daintree Wilderness Lodge offers it's guests and visitors a true rainforest experience. With only 7 cabins each surrounded by beautiful lush rainforest, the property offers a complete natural hideaway. Each cabin was built by hand, set on stilts to deminish the impact on the rainforest, leaving it in pristine quality for our guests to enjoy. With walkways leading to each individual cabin, a balcony and a skylight within the cabin, guests are guaranteed privacy and tranquility. The lodge has many frequent endemic visitors due to it's pristine location. The Southern Cassowary is often spotted by guests along with the Black and White Striped Possums, Boyd Forest Dragons and a beautiful array of frogs and birds. Located only 2 hours north of Cairns and 1 hour north of Port Douglas, Daintree Wilderness Lodge is centrally located to all major tourist attractions including the Daintree River, Daintree National Park and Cape Tribulation. The property offers personalised service and friendly hospitality to all guests and welcome visitors from around the world. With fluency in three languages including English, Afrikan and German. The property has been awarded Advanced Eco-Accreditation to show their commitment to preserving this pristine and beautiful part of Australia.

Car Parking Details

Directions Follow the main road out of Cairns, heading North. Travel for about 1 hour and reach Mossman. There will be a sign about 30 minutes out of Mossman indicating the FERRY CROSSING and directing onto Cape Tribulation. Take this turn off to the right. Travel over the river by barge. Once crossed, travel down hill for about 14km to get to the property. Go through Cow Bay township, cross over Hutchinson River and see a school on the right hand side. (Alexandra Bay Primary). Once you have seen the school, it is only about 1km on the right side. You will see a large patch of lawn. This is the property. You will see a large sign out the front, follow the gravel road through the rainforest to the carpark. GPS Co-ordinates are S 16.87555 E 145.75400 It is advisable to hire your own vehicle. A 4WD vehicle is not required as the road is tarred and safe to drive.
