Overview

Cedar Park Rainforest Resort is situated in one of the world's greatest ecologically diverse areas, one of the best locations within a short distance of Cairns. This rainforest nature and wildlife retreat is located half way between the famous rainforest village Kuranda and Mareeba.

We are surrounded by ancient forest and its endlessly fascinating and amazing rainforest and wildlife. You can see vast amounts of wildlife and several species of rare endemic birds, animals and botanical treasures. If you want to experience the splendorous of nature at its best while relaxing comfortably in a very unique environment you will love to be with us here. One of our main attractions is bird watching and you surely don't want to miss a thing. We have over 107 species recorded (and are still counting). There are over two hundred and fifty species in the region.

Enjoy exiting birding and tropical rainforest bush walks, a swim in the cool, refreshing mountain streams and pools. Relax in the rainforest spa or have a drink at the lagoon. THE RESTAURANT & BAR

Our al fresco Restaurant provides breakfast, morning and afternoon tea, lunch and dinner for our in-house guests. We are fully licensed and have a cosy Cocktail Bar next to the fireplace. Christoph Huber (formerly owner of Atlantis Restaurant at Trinity Beach) was a private chef for banker Richard Dryfus and cooked for celebrities like Elisabeth Taylor, Lady Spencer, Arthur Cohn and the prince of Malta. Markus Ryf (formerly Head Chef of the Sebel Reef House at Palm Cove and Sous Chef of the Thala Lodge Port Douglas) and before he was a chef in one of the best five star resorts in Grand Montana, Switzerland. He cooked for Brigitte Bardot, Demi Russo and Jean Paul Bellmondo. They are well known Chefs specializing in fine food and functions according to your requirements.

Travel Directions

- From Cairns take the scenic drive up to Kuranda.

- From Kuranda follow the Kennedy Highway 12 km

towards Mareeba .

- Turn left at the Cedar Park Resort sign ( Clohsey River Road ).

Enjoy the 6 km drive trough the bush until you reach the Wet Tropic Word Heritage Rainforest ( 10 Min. )
